Song Sneaker Tell You Nike's "Smoky Grey" Air Force 1 Joins This Month's Color Collection
Nike has dropped its monthly Replica Air Force 1 color collection, recalling a series of releases from the '80s. This week, the "smoky grey" Air Force 1 Jewel joined the project.
In the 1980s, Paul Blinken and Harold Rudo approached Nike with the new idea of releasing the color monthly through Baltimore-area retailers. Using the Replica Air Force as a canvas, Nike applies a minimalist, classic color scheme to a basketball shoe and is available exclusively through Blinken and Rudo stores in the DMV District. Now, Nike has been reimagining the beloved project, releasing new styles regularly around the world. This week, Swoosh unveiled the latest addition to the collection, adding the Air Force 1 Jewel to the project in a "Smoky Grey" color scheme. Made from light grey suede, the shoes are paired with tone-matching gemstone Swooshes and a white midsole to complete the look.
